Roger Dale Kreke
1954-2008
Funeral services for Roger Dale Kreke, 53, of Edmond are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Edmond. Interment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick.
Kreke was born June 11, 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died Monday, May 12, 2008, in Oklahoma City.
He graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1972. A volunteer award was created in honor of Kreke for the exemplary service and dedication he made to the Midwest City Parks and Recreation Department. He was a Santa’s helper in various venues for 30 years. He and his wife had been a host family for international students for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Kreke; and his grandparents, William and Rose Kreke, and Abel and Bobbie Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Freida Kreke of Edmond; his daughter, Kerri Kreke of Edmond; his mother, Louise Kreke of Midwest City; three brothers, Eddie Kreke and Mike Kreke, both of Oklahoma City, and Joe Kreke of Merriam, Kan.; one sister, Janet Bolodar of Plano, Texas; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network in memory of Roger D. Kreke.
