Barbara Arras (Carnochan) Rider

1928-2009

Funeral services for Barbara Arras (Carnochan) Rider, 81, of Edmond, are scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.

Rider was born Feb. 27, 1928, in New York, N.Y. She died Friday, June 19, 2009, in Edmond.

Rider lived in Edmond for 38 years and graduated from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rider; her three children, Anne Rider Constien, Patricia Rider and John Rider; her parents, Olga (Arras) and Allan S. Carnochan Jr.; and her stepmother, Marie Carnochan.

Survivors include her children, Tom Rider, Bill Rider and Jim Rider; her sister, Jane Clausen; and three grandchildren.

The family asks memorial contributions be made to the Hope Center in Edmond, Oaks Indian Mission, Peace Lutheran Church Foundation or a favorite charity.
