— Funeral services for John William Bourne Jr., 82, of Guthrie and father of Lynn L. Bourne of Edmond are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Bohannon Cemetery in Stuart.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home in Guthrie.
Bourne was born Nov. 5, 1925, in White Fish Point, Mich. He died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in Oklahoma City.
Bourne was a member of the Guthrie VFW No. 4578 and Disabled American Veterans, and he was a member of the Chippewa Indian tribe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Ella Nichols Bourne.
Other survivors include his son, David R. Bourne of Petoskey, Mich.; three daughters, Barbara Bowden of Hillman, Mich., Ruth Ensley of Detroit, Mich., Beverly Ann Bourne of Jackson, Mich.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
