Kathryn Frances Hoehner

EDMOND —     Kathryn Frances “Kathy” Hoehner, 73, of Yukon, Okla., was born November 26, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank and Helen (Hettinger) Pletka.  She passed away December 27, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla., surrounded by her loving family.

    On August 16, 1961, Kathy married Robert F. “Bob” Hoehner, whom she met at a Czech Hall dance in Yukon, Okla.  Together she and Bob were 50 year residents of Yukon and lifelong members of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, where Kathy was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies’ Auxiliary. 

    Kathy attended St. Anthony’s nurses training for two years and later worked for the City of Yukon, Hyde Drug, OG&E and finally Hoehner’s Flowers in Yukon. 

    Kathy enjoyed family time spent camping and fishing at Lake Eufaula and Keystone Lake.  She loved to read, talk politics, listen to Rush Limbaugh, and was a huge sports fan, especially the OU Sooners. 

    Kathy is survived by her children, Frank Hoehner and wife Bobbie of Savannah, Ga., Steve Hoehner and wife Kim of Edmond, Okla., Mike Hoehner and wife Cindy of Oklahoma City, and Diane Miller and husband Rowdy of Yukon; sisters, Sue Hall and husband David of Marianna, Fla. and Christine Pletka of Gloversville, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 42 years, Bob Hoehner.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Yukon Mobile Meals, 1200 Lakeshore Drive, Yukon, OK  73099.

    Wake services will be 7 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014, with both services held at the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
