EDMOND —
Breeana Olivia “Bree” Raymond, 20, of Edmond, Okla., passed away on August 8, 2012 after a long battle with complications of Sickle Cell disease. She was born November 3, 1991, to Ronald and Delisa Walker in Racho Cucamonga, Calif.
Breeana spent the majority of her years in Atlanta, Ga., where she lived with her mother and father, as well as her older sister Angelina Walker, who she nicknamed Angel Cake, and her younger brother Julian Walker. She had a talent for art in any form; it was her ultimate passion. She enjoyed drawing, singing, and writing. She wrote many spiritual songs and performed them with her family at many church programs. She was a self-proclaimed free spirit, marching to the beat of her own drum when it came to her hair, clothing, and points of view.
In 2006, she and her family moved to Edmond. She was involved in the choir and musical productions at Edmond North High School; a year later she met her husband Reginald Raymond III. They were married on her 18th birthday in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She is survived by her ten month old daughter, Angelina Arizana-Krystena Raymond. She was a loving wife and a caring mommy to her husband Reggie and daughter Angelina. She knew how to make the baby smile and laugh better than anyone else. When Angelina saw her mom come into the room, her eyes would sparkle with joy and excitement knowing that she is loved. Breeana was always optimistic even during her worst struggles in the many illnesses she endured having Sickle Cell. She fought the fight and lived her life serving the Lord and being a witness to His glory. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Edmond Church of Christ.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
