EDMOND —
Russell Lee Reinhardt, 65, of Salida, Colo., went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2012 in Little Rock, Ark. He was born November 13, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. He will be remembered as a loving, caring and devoted husband, father and grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Lee Reinhardt.
Russ lived a full and rich life led by his faith and focused on his loving family and amazing friends. His list of accomplishments is long and varied: Eagle Scout, state rollerskating champion, proud 1970 graduate of the University of Michigan, career man at IBM, where he rose through the ranks from computer technician to become a top salesman, and partner at Applied Intelligence Group of Edmond, Okla.
He retired to his beloved mountains in 1999 where he was able to spend more time reading, writing, skiing, ATVing, target shooting, traveling, engaging in Constitutional scholarship and Republican party activism, and building with Habitat for Humanity. He loved his country and its history. He fought a courageous battle against multiple myeloma. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Russ leaves behind his wife who he adored, Debra Ann Simester Reinhardt of Salida; son, Damion Reinhardt and wife Laura, of Edmond; three grandchildren, Cael Boone, Sophia Vianne and Wyatt Russell; his mother, Dorothy Russell Reinhardt, Kalamazoo, Mich., and sisters Nancy Colantonio of Kalamazo, and Linda Duffy (Jim), Plainwell, Mich. Other surviving family member include many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and in-laws, including his mother-in-law, Cheryl Simester.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday September 21 at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 22 at Fairview Baptist Church, 1230 N. Sooner Rd. in Edmond.
