David Gary Wallace

EDMOND —     David Gary Wallace, 64, born to Orville Don and Mary Jewel (Sanford) Wallace on August 18, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Okla., went to be with his Heavenly Father, May 23, 2013.

Gary was raised on a farm outside Shawnee, Okla.  He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1966.

He met and married Sandra Lynne Jewell on December 7, 1979. They followed their dream of a little patch of land, with each passing year they built a bigger garden, with more beautiful flowers, trees, animals, and love. Gary and Sandy were members of Faith Bible Church.

On January 2, 1996, Gary began his career at Bradford Supply. He enjoyed his work, colleagues and friends. He recently told us he got the job and just seemed to have a knack for it.

Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandy on March 14, 2013, his father Orville Wallace, brother Howard Dean Wallace, paternal grandparents Charles and Kate Wallace, maternal grandparents Newport Washington Sanford and Edna (House) Sanford.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Faith Bible Church, 600 North Coltrane, Edmond, OK, with Reverend Scot Overbey officiating.  Arrangements under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.smithgallo.com

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to The March of Dimes whose tireless work for victims of polio helped Gary not only survive but to thrive and pay it forward with his generosity and sweet spirit.

Goodbye for now our sweet son and brother.
