Kaye Moss

EDMOND —     Kaye Moss was born in Wynnewood, Okla., and spent her childhood in the area.  She moved with her family to Edmond, Okla. in 1964  and worked as a waitress at the Corner Restaurant where she later met Jim.  She was an ambitious small town girl who never met a stranger.  Kaye began a career as a secretary for Urban Renewal.  This led to a position with the City of Edmond where she worked in the Police Department. She eventually became the assistant city treasurer for the City of Edmond where she spread joy until she retired in 2006. Many years ago, she and Jim were members of the Edmond Jaycees.

Kaye dedicated herself to providing her family with not only the material things they needed, but more important, a character and moral foundation that would carry them through life no matter the path they chose.  She enjoyed family vacations, watching her children and grandchildren’s many sporting events and activities, as well as spending weekends dining and dancing with friends.  But she loved being in her home more than anything.

Kaye leaves behind many family and friends and a legacy of love and devotion to each and every one of them that will live on in their memories of her: her loving husband Jim;  daughter, LaVonda and husband Ronnie, son Tony, daughter Staci and husband Todd, daughter Stephanie and her husband Todd; sister Linda, brother-in-law Jim and nephew Brad; grandchildren Stephen and wife Karey, Brooke and husband Jake, Jeff, Allison, Paige, Jace, Natalie and Tyler and great-grandchildren, Rylan, Jaxon and Layla; nephew, Jeremy and wife Kim and children, Eli and Jake; and niece, Gillian and husband Mark and children Potter and Harley.

We are forever grateful that you wrapped your arms around us and guided us through life.  This world was a better place having you in it.  Your smile and optimism were contagious.  We love you and will miss you but we know it’s time for you to be forever in His arms in Heaven.   We love you Mama Kaye!

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013  at the Edmond First Church of the Nazarene.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.  Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond.
