EDMOND —     James “Jim” Joseph Rossman, 64, of Edmond, Okla., died peacefully at home in the presence of family on August 30, 2013. He was a much loved husband, father, and grandfather.

    He was born December 27, 1948 to Siegfried and Sieglinde Rossman in Fitchburg, Mass.

James served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972, and in 1977, graduated from Central State University in Edmond. It was there that he met his future wife Lois, whom he declared on many occasions was the best thing that ever happened to him.

    James spent his professional career in information technology, and was also a talented artist, lover of sweets, and a passionate college football fan.

    James was preceded in death by his brother Steven and his parents.

    Surviving family members include his wife Lois; his children Gregory, Megan, and Susannah; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Joseph, and Samuel; his daughter-in-law Kelsey; and his brother Donald Keith Rossman.

    Funeral services for Jim were 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Crawford Family Funeral Service Chapel. Burial followed at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond.
