Paul A. Rosenhamer

EDMOND —     Paul A. “Rosie” Rosenhamer, 89, was born in Wichita, Kan. to Joseph A. and Grace A. (Leamon) Rosenhamer and passed away in Oklahoma City, Okla. He attended North High School in Wichita and played minor league baseball for a short period after graduating. Paul then served in the Navy and was a survivor of Iwo Jima.

    He met and married Jean Riedel and they spent 47 years together.

    Paul worked for Sam the Window Man in Wichita and, after moving to Oklahoma City, worked for Allstate and retired in 1985. After retirement, Paul moved to Ardmore and was a survivor of the May 3, 1995 tornado. His hobbies included water skiing, fishing and anything outdoors. Paul was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean, and two sisters.

    Paul is survived by daughter Linda and her husband Ken Paul; son Gary and his wife Beverly Rosenhamer; son, John and his wife Suzi Rosenhamer; daughter Angie and her husband Keith Dawson; sister Jeraldine Davis; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

    A Rosary Service will be 6 p.m. Sunday, December 2, at Smith and Kernke Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 3, at Church of the Epiphany of the Lord with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2448 E. 81st St. Ste. 3000, Tulsa, OK 74137
