Nevada Hermina Murray

EDMOND —     Nevada Hermina Murray, of Edmond, Okla., passed away June 28, 2012 in Kingfisher, Okla. Hermina was born December 10, 1915 in Agra, Okla., to Levi and Isabelle Bolton. She graduated from Agra High School in 1932 and married Roger Lloyd Murray on Dec. 6, 1935 in Tryon, Okla.

    Hermina was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a talented seamstress and shared her gifts with family and friends. She was a member of Friendship International where she taught sewing. She also made costumes for Edmond High School Show Choir, mascots, formals, and many wedding gowns.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd in March 1987, and 11 siblings.

    Hermina is survived by two daughters, Gail Bright and husband Bill of Yukon, Okla., and Janet Stover and husband Jim of Cashion, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jeannie Couch and husband Dean, Cindy Brecheen and husband Mike all of Edmond; Jaime Stover and Tara of Crescent, Okla.; Jana Trello and husband Tom of Cashion, Okla.; and Jeremy Stover and wife Sarah of Edmond;  12 great-grandchildren, Ben, Lauren, Matthew, Daniel, Jaici, Tucker, Chelsea, Zach, Otto, Levi, Karsyn, and Kadence.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

    Services were 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Edmond. Interment followed at Gracelawn Cemetery Edmond.
