Jeremy Thomas Brannon

EDMOND —     In the early morning of May 11, 2014, Jeremy Thomas Brannon, 44, passed away at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Jeremy Brannon was born October 17, 1969 in Wichita, Kan., to John (Jay) William and Jackie Sue Brannon.  He attended Putnam City High School where he was involved in various clubs and organizations, and also participated in football and wrestling.  He furthered his education at UCO and the University of Oklahoma.  Jeremy attended Life Church of Edmond.

Jeremy married Jana Kay Skinner on August 16, 1997.  A special hobby they shared was their enjoyment of learning the fine art of cooking.  One of their fondest memories was attending a Food and Wine Festival in Aspen, Colo.

They have one daughter, Jillian Dae Brannon, a proud member of Cheyenne Middle School.  His proudest moments were watching his daughter perform in her cheer and tumbling competitions, and he was extremely proud of her academic success in school.  He enjoyed helping with her projects and was amazed by her talents.

Jeremy enjoyed the week-ends and summers boating with family and friends at their summer home on Grand Lake.  They also enjoyed many family vacations in Angel Fire.  One of his favorite pastimes was golfing with Jana and Jillian.  He loved the beach and was an avid fan of Sooner football and the Thunder.

Jeremy was an entrepreneur and was currently owner of Brannon Land Services, Inc. where he developed a knack for hiring relentless Texas fans.  He loved the camaraderie he shared with his business acquaintances and employees.

Jeremy is survived by his wife and daughter of the home; his parents, and one sister Julie and her husband Stan Wilson of Arcadia.  He also leaves behind many relatives, friends, and co-workers.
