EDMOND —
Carla Jean Stice, 69, died October 22, 2012, in Edmond, Okla. She was born December 23, 1942, in Frederick, Okla., to Loyd and Jean Arms.
Carla married Stanley Dwight Burks of Davidson, Okla. in 1960 with whom she had one daughter, Shawn Jeannette. She later married Stephen Lee Cooper, stationed at Altus AFB, in 1969 with whom she had one daughter, Tiffany Lea.
Carla was retired and resided in Edmond until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, O.L. (Orace Lee) and Cora Jeannette Phipps.
Survivors include two daughters, Shawn (Burks) Hooper and her husband Robert Hooper of Carnegie, Okla., and Tiffany Cooper of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister Judy (Arms) Welch; brothers Craig Arms, Mark Arms, and Chuck Smart; five grandchildren, Ami Jeannette Perry, Sarah Ryann Smith, Devin Dwight Smith, Ryan Lee Cooper and Eric Young Robison; six great-grandchildren, Charlize Ryann, Alexander Don, Jalen Rose, Kale Michael, Mallory Kate, and Kasen Stanley, and many lifelong friends.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 in Frederick, at Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
