Gary Seaton

EDMOND — Gary Dale Seaton, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 10:43 p.m. November 13, 2013. He was born October 5, 1936 in Peavine, Okla., to W.R. and Opha (Spiva) Seaton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Reta Beth of the home, Lloyd and Charity Seaton, Roger and Karen Seaton, Janelle and Matt Strait, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his brother H. L. “Skeet” Seaton and wife Evelyn, as well as many nephews and nieces.

In addition to his dedication to fulfill his role as a godly leader for his family, Gary was passionate about his work in children’s ministries and missions for his Lord Jesus Christ. Gary was a lifelong entrepreneur and owned a successful heating and air conditioning business for more than 50 years. Having attended Fairview Baptist Church for several years  Gary requested membership on November 9, 2013 and was received one day later by unanimous vote of the church.

Services will be 11 a.m Monday November 18 at Fairview Baptist Church 1230 N. Sooner, Edmond, OK 73034. The family will greet friends from 3 - 5 on Sunday. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Straight Shooters ministries P.O. Box 121, Edmond, OK 73083. Services under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
