Karen Sue Posey Todd, 68, passed away May 29, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born September 9, 1944 in Oklahoma City, to William and Wylma (Pearson) Posey.
Karen graduated from Edmond High School. She worked for the state of Oklahoma from 1974-1981 then later worked for Kay Jewelers as a diamontologist from 1996-2009.
Her hobbies included knitting, jewelry making and being in her online chat room. She loved to dance and had taken advanced ballroom dancing and was a published poet. Karen attended the Crestwood Baptist Church in Oklahoma City and was a member of the Epilepsy Foundation.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Jess and Ethel Pearson, and step father, Otis Tate.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dale Todd; daughter, Shelley Renee Matthews; siblings, Karla Jean Posey Taylor and husband Larry of Woodward, Okla., Bob Posey and wife Tammy of Edmond, and Denise Posey Harrell and husband Rick of Independence, Mo.; sister-in-law, Debbie Rose and husband David; grandchildren, Garrett Lee Roberts and Dylan Wade Matthews; nieces and nephews, Kyle Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Kory Taylor, Kelley Taylor Robinson, Matthew Posey, Benjamin Posey, Jessica Posey and John Robinson.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
