EDMOND —
Howard Lewis Tribble, 77, passed away December 21, 2012 in Guthrie, Okla., He was born on July 3, 1935 in Tulsa, Okla. to Hubert & Stella Tribble.
He married Virginia Champlain in 1955 and was married until her death in 2006. He then married Georgia Rice in October of 2012. Howard served as an electrician’s mate in the U.S. Navy. He also served as a police officer for the Ponca City Police Department for 4 years and retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Rice Tribble of Guthrie; his children, Vicky Tribble, Mark Tribble and Matt Tribble, all of Arcadia, Okla.; grandchildren, Joshua Argyle of Wadena, Minn., Jordan Argyle of Coyle, Okla., Katy Argyle of Arcadia, Okla., and Levi Little of Tulsa, Okla; great grandchildren, Destiny, Ashley, Brianna, Jasmine and Joshua Argyle, Ariana Bennett, Charity Argyle and Joyce; and brother, Glen and Sharon Tribble of Sand Springs, Okla.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel, Edmond, Okla, with interment to follow at Waterloo Cemetery, Edmond.
