EDMOND —
Edna Ann Watkins, 55, passed away Feb. 17, 2013 in Edmond, Okla. She was born June 19, 1958 in Granite City, Ill. to Henry and Genevieve (Cheschia) Hellrich.
Edna graduated from Lutheran Medical School becoming a registered nurse then later worked as a preschool teacher at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was also a member. She loved gardening, kayaking, running and had a lifetime of altruistic involvement in improving her community.
She is preceded in death by her mother Genevieve Hellrich and sister Mary Barger.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Jeff Watkins; daughter, Megan Watkins; son, Cory Watkins; siblings, Paul Hellrich, Lenny Hellrich, Jim Hellrich, Mark Hellrich, Jeannine Simcock and Margaret Hellrich.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 21, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.
