EDMOND —
Carolyn Tipton Vorva, 80, longtime Edmond resident, passed away August 15, 2012. Carolyn was born June 27, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, to Truman and Charlene Ellerd.
One of three children, Carolyn grew up in Blanchard, Okla. As a college student, Carolyn met her future husband John A. Vorva. She was a homemaker and also a secretary in the Dean’s Office at Central State University.
She was preceded in death by her husband John and her grandson Joseph A. Vorva.
Carolyn is survived by her children Jeannette McPhail and John Christopher Vorva and his wife Kimberly; grandchildren Jeremiah D. McPhail, Jonathan Zachary Vorva and Joseph Vorva as well as many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, under the direction of Hahn Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to Free to Live Animal Sanctuary or the charity of the donor’s choice.
