Andrew Jacob Shomber

EDMOND —     Andrew Jacob Shomber, 25, of Edmond, Okla., was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 15, 2012 by his beloved grandparents. He was born June 29, 1987, a week late, but of course he was never on time. When he arrived, his smile and love made you forgive him.

Andrew was full of joy, love, and compassion, and wasn’t shy about showing you how much he cared and loved you. He said hello and goodbye with a hug and kiss always. He was  known for his beaming smile, which he shared with everyone he met. He was an Angel on earth; now he shall watch from the Heavens. He was a friend to all. Andrew adored animals and all young people were drawn to him. He truly cared about others, he showed it, and they knew that he cared.

Andrew attended Oklahoma Christian School from pre-school until he graduated. During his four years at high school, he was in Who’s Who of American High School Students. He played baseball, basketball, and football as a child and continued to play football and baseball during high school. Andrew attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma. He pledged Phi Delta Theta at OSU. He continued to work in sales throughout his higher education. Andrew loved music, and always had an ear for beautiful, unique songs, away from mainstream music. He was passionate about professional baseball, OSU football and basketball, and attended many games with his family when  when he was growing up.

Andrew was blessed to have a wonderful, extended family. His late grandparents provided many extended family trips. Andrew loved to go to the ocean, and he also was an exceptional snowboarder. His family is blessed to have had 25 years of memories of his joy and happiness.
