EDMOND —     Myrom Clarence “Sonny” Turner, Jr., 75, passed away June 9, 2013 in Ogden, Utah. He was born January 25, 1938 in Perkins, Okla. to Myrom and Ola (Terrill) Turner.

    His family moved to Edmond, Okla. in 1947 and he graduated high school with the class of 1957. After high school, he entered the U.S. Navy.

    Sonny moved to Utah in the late ‘60’s and was employed by the U.S. Forestry Service until he retired.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Delbert Ryan and Wilbur Turner, and three sisters, Wylma Carpenter, Dorothy Cartmill and Charlotte Turner.

    Sonny is survived by one son, M.C. “Bud” Turner III; one daughter, Kimberly JoAnn Udy and one granddaughter, Kayla Jo Udy, all of Willard, Utah; four sisters, Beulah Cundiff of Perkins, Margaret Whitaker of Edmond, Patty Hampton of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Betty Daniel of Edmond, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Services for Sonny were held in Willard, Utah.
