Margaret May “Peggy” Miller Ramsey, 83, of Edmond, Okla. was born in Springfield Mo. on August 5, 1929 to Louis Maxwell Miller and Lulu May Richardson Miller of Kansas City Kan., and passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17 around 4:30 a.m.
Born and raised near Kansas City, she went on to complete her education. She met and married David L. Ramsey on December 7, 1946. Peggy gave birth to and raised seven children. She was a telephone operator for White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico for twenty years before retirement. Her love of Christ kept her involved in church. From vacation Bible schools and Bible studies to Sunday dinners, whereever she called home.
Peggy enjoyed baking, from beautifully decorated wedding and all occasional cakes to many types of breads and delicious pastries. She liked bringing joy to family, friends and customers. Other hobbies included painting, sewing and gardening.
Peggy will reunite in Heaven with her life-long love and husband, as well as her first born Nancy Sew Ramsey Akers.
She is survived by six children: Rebecca Ann Walker of Hermitage Mo., Shirley Lee Coston of Deville La., Debra Louise Poindexter of Roswell N.M., David Lee Ramsey of Roswell, Jesse Ray Ramsey of Edmond Okla., Chester Maxwell Ramsey of Las Cruces N.M.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and two sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel, Edmond.
She will be missed!
