Howard Curtis Harrold

EDMOND —     Howard Curtis Harrold, 61, born October 29, 1952, son of Lyle and Cherrie Harrold, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 29, 2014.

Howard is a veteran of the United States Army and served with both bravery and honor in the Vietnam War. Following his service in Vietnam, he worked hand in hand with his father for the family business “Harrold’s Dozer Service”. Howard spent a life time as a talented and skilled professional in various areas of construction. He had a love for music which fueled his passion for the guitar and provided an outlet for both healing and joy.

Howard leaves this earth as the quiet man we all knew him to be, as he travels on to a place of peace and freedom from pain we are reminded that life is precious. Those small moments that are simple and sometimes quiet are the ones to hold onto and be grateful for. Howard leaves this earth as a man who has traveled. A man who has loved and a man who is loved. He is a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a spouse, and a dad.

He is preceded in death by his mother Cherrie Harrold.

Howard is survived by his father, Lyle Harrold; his sisters, Renita Jo Adams, Dian Heyland, Brenda Miller and Tammee Lesseg; daughters Casey Brook Wyatt and Carrie Sullivan, granddaughters Abby Wyatt and Rylee Sullivan and longtime girlfriend Terri Clark as well as nieces and nephews.

Howard will be honored by the United States Army as he is laid to rest by his loved ones 11 a.m. Tuesday July 8, 2014 at Gracelawn Cemetery located at North Boulevard and North Danforth in Edmond, Oklahoma 73034.
