Having fought the good fight and finished the race, and having kept the faith, Jack Doyle Rawdon, 80, passed from this journey to the next on Friday, February 7, 2014, at his home in Edmond with his family by his side. Jack was born January 10, 1934 in Stroud, Okla., to Charles Irwin and Grace Maude (Fout) Rawdon, who preceded him in death.
After graduating from Denver City High School Texas, Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army. During his career, Jack worked for a number of prominent oil and gas companies in both Texas and Oklahoma. Following a successful career as an oil and gas executive, Jack went on to utilize his artistic and creative talents during his so-called retirement as a professional home builder and award winning wood carver.
Jack is survived by the love of his life and bride of 59 years, Mary (Bailey) Rawdon.
He was preceded in death by infant son Danny Shane Rawdon.
He is honored by his beloved son, Jackie Charles Rawdon and daughter-in-law Dr. Andrea (Key) Rawdon, as well as his most adored and favorite daughter Terri Lynn McCaleb and son-in-law Caleb McCaleb. Always a great source of pride and abundant love and always their biggest (and usually most vocal) sports fan are his seven grandchildren: Melissa Ann Fair and husband, Dr. Richard “Deuce” Fair of Gainesville, Fla.; Andrew Charles Rawdon and wife Diana of Edmond, Brett Thomas Rawdon of Oklahoma City, Joshua Carter McCaleb of Edmond, Braden Rawdon McCaleb of Dallas, Texas, Kylie Lynn McCaleb of Edmond, and Elizabeth Key Rawdon of Edmond.
