Elena Cain, 89, of Edmond, Okla., passed away September 4, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born November 27, 1922 in Santa Fe, Okla. to Zebeedee and Esley Jones. Elena was raised in Ringling, Okla. She was a member of the Transcon retired Roadrunners. She retired from TG&Y after over 20 years of service.
Her survivors include her daughter and son in law, Patty and Dave Petty of Cashion, Okla.; grandson, Will; and sister, Nila Jean Barton of Hobbs, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee Roy Cain, and brother Eldon Jones and his wife Janie.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday September 6, 2012 at the Marlow Cemetery. Formal visitation was 6-8- p.m. Wednesday at Matthews Funeral Home.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
