EDMOND —
Marilyn Ball, 59, of Edmond, Okla., passed away Thursday July 26, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born July 6, 1953 in Arkansas City, Kan., to William and Lillie Garroutte.
If you were limited to just a few words to describe Marilyn, they would simply be caring, thoughtful, and loving. She was the caring and thoughtful type to always send a card that needed to be sent at just the right time with just the right words. She was always very outgoing and looking for ways to care for others. By trade, she was an accountant for multiple companies within the oil and gas industry. The joy in her life, however, came from her family. Whether it was shopping with her daughter, traveling with her husband, spending time with her son and grandkids, or just lounging with her dog Kaya, happiness always came from being together.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Ralph Ball; son Jonathan Ball and wife Rebecca; daughter Rebekah Ball, and grandchildren, Joel, Caitlyn, Elia, and Nathanael.
She also leaves behind her mother, Lillie Garroutte, and two sisters, Debbie Hoos and husband Ben, and Patti McCrary.
Services celebrating Marilyn’s life will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at Crawford Family Funeral Service in Edmond with a reception to follow.
