EDMOND —
Helen Irene (Duling) Vollbrecht of Edmond, Okla. dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 5, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was 85 years old. Helen was born October 16, 1924 in Washington, Pa., the daughter of Charlton and Eva (Wilkinson) Duling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth (Duling) Ober, Pittsburgh, Pa. and an infant daughter, Donna. Helen had a strong sense of protection and love for her entire family. She was a gift to everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Nettie (Duling) Brannon, Pittsburgh, Pa.; her beloved husband of 67 years, Jack H. Vollbrecht; three children and their spouses, son, Tom and Karen Vollbrecht, of Edmond; son, Jack D. and Gwen Vollbrecht, of Edmond; daughter, Robin (Vollbrecht) Constantine and Stephen Constantine, of Purchase, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 325 East 1st Street, Edmond. Following the service of Committal, the family will receive friends for a reception in St. Mary’s Parish Hall to celebrate the life of Helen Vollbrecht.
