EDMOND —
Bertha Iona Hart, 97, of Edmond, Okla. was born March 21, 1916 in Arcadia, Okla. to Walter Ernest and Myrtle Fay (Laughlin) Kennard. She passed away March 14, 2013 in Edmond.
Bertha married Gaylon Wright Hart (Jack) who preceded her in death. She loved gardening. She was an avid flower gardener and loved to sew.
She is survived by her children, Betty Janet Cheatham and husband Dan R. Cheatham and Jo Frances Seitsinger; grandchildren, Rachael D. Cheatham, Alex R. Cheatham and wife Shelly, Dan R. Cheatham II and wife Miriam, Karla L. Schwartz, and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Arie, Eleana Arie, Ben Schwartz, Ryan A. Cheatham, Ronya Cheatham, and Danny R. Cheatham III.
Bertha is also preceded in death by her son Gaylon W. Hart Jr.
Graveside services are 3 p.m. Monday March 18, 2013 at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Hills Christian Church.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Edmond.
