EDMOND — H. Ray Wilson, 88, of Edmond, Okla., passed away at home on March 20, 2013.  Ray was born in Paducah, Ky., on May 28, 1924.

Ray worked in radio broadcasting, later bringing his practical experience to the classroom as a college professor in Journalism. As a  student of history, he brought context and perspective as an educator evidenced by visits from many grateful students years after he retired.

Ray is survived by his wife Penny Wilson and his daughter Dr. Lynn Wilson of Olympia, Wash.

A family service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 23rd at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given Paralyzed Veterans of America.  The family of Ray Wilson thanks the friends and family who have supported them throughout his life and passing.
