EDMOND —
Betty Lee Knight, 81, of Edmond, Okla., went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2012. She was born Aug. 26, 1930 in Trent, Texas.
Betty was a devoted wife and a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Betty was recently preceded in death by her son, Jim Knight of Edmond.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Curtis Knight; her daughter, Kathy Knight Petersen; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Knight; two grandchildren, Kristen Petersen Johnson and Nikki Knight; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Austin Johnson, all of Edmond, and one surviving sister, Joyce Ash of Houston, Texas.
“MiMi,” as her grandchildren affectionately called her, was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed by them all.
A private family service will be held at a later date with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The family requests that any donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
