Kaleb Whiteley

EDMOND —     Kaleb Whiteley, 19, of Edmond, Okla., was born in Naples, Italy on April 23, 1993. He loved to read everything, his desire to learn was insatiable. As with every little boy, he enjoyed working with his dad, cooking in the kitchen with his mom, and roughhousing and playing with his brother, Ethan, who he loved with all his heart.

He enjoyed camping, making crafts, animals - especially dolphins, playing board games, creating fun stories with his family, and testing the limits of his imagination. He had a witty sense of humor and had an incredible bond with his service dogs, Phoebe and Mambo.   Kaleb was a gifted student in so many aspects, but his true desire to create was what led him to robotics.

As many of us complained or questioned, he was never the one to ask, “God why me?” Instead he always said “Why not me?” He knew God had a plan and purpose for him, and he continued in his faith every moment.  Kaleb was loved by many and he reciprocated that love to all. We will miss his smile, compassion and humor.

Kaleb went home to be with Our Lord and Savior, April 2, 2013, 3 weeks shy of his 20th birthday. We already miss him, yet we are joyful for the time we had and have great peace knowing he is in Jesus’ arms.

Kaleb was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Carullo, Sr.

He is survived by his father, Mark Whiteley; mother, Tracy Carullo; brother, Ethan Whiteley; uncles John Carullo and wife Carrie, and Joe Carullo and wife Julie; aunt, Susan Stockil and husband Berin; his grandparents, Gordon and Dorothy Whiteley, and Sherrie Carullo; as well as many cousins and friends.

Services celebrating Kaleb’s life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Church of the Harvest, 16000 N. Western in Edmond.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kaleb Whiteley Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank of Edmond benefiting the Santa Fe High School Robotics Club, RoboLobos.

Arrangements by Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.
