EDMOND —
Adrian Hight, 85, of Edmond, Okla., was born July 2, 1926 in Fayetteville, Ark. and passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family.
Adrian had a sense of humor you might call unique, he liked to be center stage, just to get a laugh. He was also great at telling stories and loved sports, particularly playing pool or horseshoes. Adrian was always a hard worker and would typically work extra jobs to support his growing family. He was also a very particular gardener and maintained the family’s home lawn meticulously. Adrian lived a life of generosity in every way, except for sharing his chocolate Tootsie Pops. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church of Edmond for many years.
He is survived by Jackie (or Jackie Doll as he referred to her) his loving wife of 65 years; four daughters, Sheila Earp and husband Jim, Jackie Lee Shaw and husband Richard, Renea Reddick and husband Glen and Lisa Atchley and husband Mark. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Adrian’s family wishes to thank Mercy Hospice, especially Becky and Carletta, for the superior care they offered.
Visitation was 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday at Crawford Family Funeral Service.
