Warren G. Piatt

EDMOND —     Warren G. Piatt, 92, of Edmond, Okla. was born November 24, 1920 in Richland, Okla. to Ira Weaver and Sena Courtney Piatt.  He passed away January 21, 2013 in Edmond.

    Warren was honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class from the U.S. Navy.  He married Helen Francis Martin on July 30, 1939.  He was a member of the First Christian Church, owned a gas station and was a member of the Edmond City Council, the Urban Renewal, the Odd Fellow Lodge, and the VFW.  He retired from Macklanburg Duncan and was a cattle rancher for 20 years.  He enjoyed going to the Edmond Senior Center and playing dominoes.

    Warren is survived by his children and spouses, Homer and Margie Piatt of Blue Eye, Mo., Ike Piatt of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Paul and Dara Piatt Daggs of Yukon, Okla.; sister, Mary Piatt Garrett of San Dimas, Calif., grandchildren, Pam Piatt Foudray of Missouri, Carla Piatt Maus of Edmond, Jeff Piatt of Piedmont, Okla., Chad Daggs of Yukon, and Annie Piatt Swink of Oklahoma City;  great grandchildren, Channon Foudray of Missouri, Curtis Foudray of Missouri, Taylor Piatt of Piedmont, Abby Maus of Edmond, Walker Piatt of Piedmont, and Samuel Maus of Edmond.

    He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Maymebelle Wilie; brother, Raymond Piatt and wife Helen Piatt of almost 60 years.

    Donations may be made to Mobile Meals of Edmond.

    Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
