EDMOND —
Augustine “Auggie” Francis Cosetti born March 5th 1921 in Ascol Piceno Italy.
Auggie, age 91, passed away surrounded by loved ones January 23rd, 2013.
Auggie served in the United States Army from July 1942 to January 1946. During this time, he fought under the command of General Patton in World War II. Auggie also served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves from October 1950 to January 1951.
Soon after he left the Army, he married Mabel Ann Hughes on February 15th, 1946.
They were married 65 years. During their marriage they had four children. One son, Mike Cosetti and three daughters, Debra Cosetti-Woody, Sandra Cosetti-Hilderbrand, and Nina Cosetti- Sloan.
Auggie also worked for the United States Postal service for 35 years as well as AT&T for 10 years, ultimately retiring from both of these positions.
Auggie is preceded in death by his parents Basilio and Rosa Cosetti, brother Tony Cosetti, daughter Sandra Cosetti-Hilderbrand, grand daughter Katilyn Williams, grandson Michael Hildabrant. and great-granddaughter Paige Ann Shipley.
Survivors include wife Mabel Ann Hughes, brother Erole Cosetti , children Debra Cosetti-Woody (spouse Mark Hardesty), Mike Cosetti (spouse Joanna Cosetti), and Nina Cosetti (spouse David Sloan). Grandchildren include Sarina Cosetti-Tessneer (spouse Mark Tessneer), Lucas Officer, Troy Officer, Lindsay Woody-Jones (spouse Mike Jones) , Chelsi Woody-Shipley (spouse Jeff Shipley). Also survived are Auggies great-grandchildren Jace Shipley, Cainan Jones, Rhyder Jones, Tyler Tessneer , and Jeter Shipley.
Arrangements were made by Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond Oklahoma with funeral service be held Monday January 28th at 2pm in the Chapel with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.
