James Allen Haile

EDMOND — James “Jim” Allen Haile, was born 9/9/45 to Russell and Maggie Haile in Bristow Oklahoma. He went home to his Heavenly Father on 1/26/13. He is survived by his loving and amazing wife Bobbie, and their two children, son Stacy and wife Jennifer Haile, daughter Andrea and husband Jeff Richardson, in whom he was supremely proud of and adored. James’s four grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholas, Ethan, and LaVeta who all loved him more than words could ever express, were his passion. James is preceded in death by his Father, Mother and Brother Nathan Haile.

After graduating high school in Collinsville Oklahoma, James enlisted in the United States Navy and was assigned to aircraft carriers as an aviation electronics technician. Upon leaving the Navy, James attended Spartan School of Aeronautics where he achieved his FCC license. That training and experience led James to a career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in Oklahoma City. It was there that he built his reputation as an exceptional friend and employee as well as a valued asset to the organization. Although there are many milestones to his career, James’s true passion was the building of his family through supporting every event and hobby of his children to the fullest. He served on the Edmond High School Band Boosters for the eight years that his children were in the programs all while ensuring that he and Bobbie never missed a single athletic event. James continued this active pursuit with his grandchildren by making recitals, games and tournaments whenever he could.

James shared his life with many whether they were life-long friends, co-workers, motorcycling buddies and his son-in-law who he traversed the country with, or fellow church members of the Woodcrest Baptist Church. James’s life touched many and will be remembered as a loving husband, doting father and an amazingly loyal friend.

Services for James will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Services are under the Direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
