June Hope Donceel

EDMOND —     June Hope Donceel,  95, was born July 27, 1917 in Kansas City, Mo. to J.O. and Beulah Jane Martin and passed away July 18, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

    June Hope was truly one of a kind. She was the type of person that loved people and her kindness and generosity to others was unequaled.  Her sense of humor was one to admire as she would take life in stride and never complain. Whether it was playing bingo or attending her many social clubs, she remained on the go. She was a longtime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and  Soonaires. June Hope worked as an administrative assistant with the FAA where she eventually retired.

    Ms. Donceel is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Martin.

    She is survived by a sister, Beverly Burkhalter; her daughters, Diane McDonald and Judi Colley and husband Steve; as well as a son, David Donceel and wife Lora. She also leaves behind five grandchildren including Shannon McDonald who lived with her for many years, and seven great-grandchildren.

    Services celebrating June Hope’s life will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 22nd at Crawford Family Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th Street, Edmond.
