EDMOND —
Stephen Wayne Walker, 53, passed away March 6, 2013. He was born May 18, 1959 in Cordell, Okla. to Raymond and Glendora (Mitchell) Walker.
Stephen graduated from Enid High School in 1976, and then completed his five year sheet metal apprenticeship program in 1985. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Beaver, in 1981. They moved to Covington in 1983 before moving to Edmond in 2001. He was a sheet metal journeyman for 32 years working all around Oklahoma.
His faith in Christ and his family were his greatest accomplishments. He became an ordained minister in 1999. He shared his faith in God at The Church at the North Gate since 2001.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Phyllis Walker; sons, Joshua Walker and wife Laci, Matthew Walker and wife Megan, and Daniel Walker of the home; brothers, Richard Walker and Larry Walker of Enid, and three grandchildren, Alexis, Moriah, and Urijah.
Memorial services for Stephen will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at The Church at the North Gate.
