Mary F. Moyer


EDMOND —     Mary F. Moyer, 74, was born March 10, 1939 in Centralia, Ill., to Keith and Sylvia Pursley. She went home to be with her Lord February 23, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

    Mary lived a life investing in people. She was a faithful servant at Edmond First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and welcomed visitors at the greeter desk. Her kind spirit and infectious smile always made for a perfect greeting. She was a certified financial planner as well as a realtor. She also spent countless hours participating in PEO as well as other organizations.

    Mary is survived by her husband of almost 57 years, Bill Moyer; daughters, Pam Bennett and Melinda Newman and husband Ken; grandchildren, Julie Cooksey and husband Curtis, Brett Newman and wife Lauren, and Scott Bennett; as well as a great-grandson, Judah Cooksey. She will also be missed by a brother, Richard Pursley and wife Rebecca; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Maher and husband Frank; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Services celebrating Mary’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Edmond’s First Baptist Church under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.
