Martha Ann Miller

EDMOND —     Martha “Ann” Miller, 70, was born May 5, 1943 in Nebraska City, Neb. and lost her last battle with cancer on August 19, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She loved her family, pets and friends with all her heart. She enjoyed knitting, painting, “occasional” trips to the casino, movies, lunch out with friends.  She showed great love for people with volunteer positions for Edmond/OU gift shop, Troy and Dolly Smith Cancer Center and more over the years.

Ann had been dealt many obstacles not only in life but also with her health. She had overcome the loss of her first born and her own sister at an early age. Her hurdles with her health started before she was 20. No matter what, Ann managed to keep an upbeat and positive attitude. She touched so many lives with her determination to survive and her zest for life.

Ann was known for her wonderful sense of humor and ability to laugh until her departure from earth.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents Al and Jay Sounders, sister Jeanie Hunt, husband John A. Miller, and daughter Kim Miller.

She was survived by son JC Two Songs-Miller and his wife Stacey Lynn; two grandsons Wyatt and Cole; pets Miss T and Cali; brother; nieces and nephews.

Services were 6:30 p.m., Monday August 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 325 East First Street, Edmond, OK 73034.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sooner NuVoice Club (Laryngectomee Support Group) 129 Ann Arbor, Edmond, OK 73013.
