EDMOND —     Martha June “Ullery” Frederick, 86, was greeted by family and friends in Heaven on Saturday, August 25, 2013. She was born in Fairfax, Okla. on February 22, 1927 and traveled to Edmond with her family due to her father working for the Santa Fe Railroad.

Martha met and married the love of her life, Donald E. Frederick, September 1946 and they were best friends and in love for 65 years. She was a loving mother and raised three children, sharing her belief in God and family.

Martha was the hub of a wheel that continues to spin, that taught her children life lessons that have been passed to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families. She loved crafts and working with her hands and shared special puzzles that she made, ceramic paintings and knitted blankets for each new grandchild and great grandchild.

She loved cloud watching and had a special gift to see designs and figures in them. She listened to the sounds of nature and shared with us the  Dove, sitting in her backyard saying “Where’s Lucy”?

Martha’s legacy is three children daughter Anita and husband Jim Kennedy, daughter Barbara and husband Dan Cunningham; five grandchildren: Tarresa Richards, Lezel Safi, Krista Meyer and Kevin Kennedy; nine great grandchildren: Brice, Austin and Quinton, Ashlynn, Kylie and Ryan, Ariana, Evan and Tye Hill.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Frederick, son John Frederick, grandson Tye Cunningham and two great grandchildren Kenzie Richards and Ian Safi.

Martha shared stories with us of her love of running and climbing trees and we know that she found her family and Jesus in Heaven, playing Dominos and waiting for her under a huge oak tree. We were loved and given a special Mom and Dad that will be missed but not forgotton.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home, Edmond.
