Margaret Jean Crawford, 86, passed away September 11, 2013 in Edmond, Okla. She was born October 19, 1926 in Pitcher, Okla. Her parents were Thomas Hugh and Eva Arnold.
Margaret graduated from Pitcher High School and from business school in Miami, Okla. She met the love of her life, Harold B. Crawford, on December 24, 1945 after his return from the war. They married August 10, 1946, and they were happily married for 39 years, until Harold’s passing. They had three children, Cheryl Crawford Conly, Pam Crawford, and Robyn Crawford Shandy. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family dearly.
After graduating from business school, Margaret worked as a legal assistant for 25 years. She was a faithful servant of God throughout her life through the music ministry. Margaret played the piano and organ for her home church for over 50 years. She was loved and respected by friends and family.
Her husband Harold B. Crawford preceded her in death.
Margaret is survived by daughter Cheryl Conly and husband Len of Sand Springs, Okla., daughter Pam Crawford of Edmond, and daughter Robyn Shandy and husband Don of Norman, Okla; five grandchildren: Kelli Shockley, Marissa Stuckey, Matthew Shandy, Mallory Shandy, and Madeline Shandy, and four great-grandchildren: Blake Shockley, Kayla Shockley, Colton Stuckey, and Corbin Stuckey.
Based on her wishes, a graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Okla. The viewing was Friday, September 13.
