EDMOND —
Norman Lee Squires, 85, was born May 31, 1927 in Red Oak, Okla. to Arthor and Hettie May Squires. He died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home.
Norman, at heart, was an uncomplicated man. Throughout his life, he worked hard for his family as a home builder, realtor, and a small business owner. Norman was through and through a “people person”. He loved to talk. He would talk to anyone if they would let him. For that matter, he would talk to them even if they did not prefer to listen. He married his true love, Margaret Connelly, in 1947, and together they shared 65 years.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Clint Squires and wife Dana; grandchildren, Carrie Squires, Chris Squires and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Zach, Bailee, and Dalton; and one sister, Dorothy Loftis.
A service celebrating Norman’s life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 25th at Crawford Family Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th Street in Edmond. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Okla.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Regional Food Bank.
