EDMOND —     Kennon Lee Hoskins, 50, was born December 25, 1962 in Guymon, Okla. He passed away June 15, 2013 in Edmond, Okla., after battling cancer for more than four years. Kennon grew up in the Edmond/Deer Creek area, and graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1981. He was an all-state golfer and former Oak Tree Club Champion. He graduated from Panhandle State University in 1992.

    Kennon was employed by Pilot Insurance Services and worked several hurricanes in Florida and Houston, Texas during his career. He loved golfing, hunting, and fishing.

    Kennon is survived by his father, Terry Hoskins and his wife Sharon of Edmond; his mother, Sharon Anderson of Wayne, Okla., his sister, LaRynda McNeal of Manor, Texas, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

    A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Edmond for their outstanding care of Kennon during his final days.
