Mary Kay Weathers

EDMOND —     Mary Kay (Karraker) Weathers slipped peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 27, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was surrounded by her entire family and pastoral staff from Victory Church of Edmond, Okla. She fought a good fight.

    Mary Kay Karraker Weathers was born October 16, 1947 in Pawnee, Okla. to Wincer and Edna Karraker. She graduated from Pawnee High School in 1965 and the Oklahoma School of Banking and Business in 1966. She went to work at Oklahoma Hardware Co. While working there she met and married the love of her life, Richard Weathers.

    Mary Kay and Richard were married January 13, 1968 and they enjoyed 44 blessed years together. Into this union two sons were born.

    She is survived by her husband Richard Weathers; two sons Jerry Weathers and wife Kimberly, Todd Weathers and wife Cheryl; four grandchildren: Ashley, Brandi, Caleb and Rachel; and one great-grandson Carter Reid. She is also survived by her brother Gary Karraker and his wife Ruth and their two sons Lincoln and Eric and his wife Lora and son Eli. Also a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends that were adopted into her family.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Wincer and Edna Karraker.

     A service celebrating Mary’s life will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 1 at the Victory Church Edmond Campus, 1515 N. Kelly Avenue, Edmond, OK. Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery.

    Service under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.
