Patti B. (Dickerson) Rixleben, 86, passed away January 21, 2013, 2013 at her son’s home in St. Charles, Ill., (Chicago area) in his arms. Her memorial service was at St. Charles Episcopal Church by Rev. William Nesbit. Her grave site rites at Memorial Park Cemetery were performed by Father Mark of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Edmond, Okla.
Mrs. Rixleben was born January 3, 1927 in McKinney, Texas, the daughter of Esther Ione Dickerson and Leonard Hall Dickerson of Piedmont, Okla., who was an Oklahoma City councilman in the 1950s and early 60s.
She graduated from Boyd High School in McKinney, attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., before marrying Thomas Bruno Rixleben, a WW II veteran from Holdenville, Okla., on May 25, 1947 at St. Pauls Cathedral in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Patti lived 40 years in Oklahoma City and six years in Ada, Okla., until her husband’s death on November 8, 1986. She spent the last five years of her life in St. Charles, Ill. She lovingly raised three children with her husband Thomas. She devoutly attended Episcopal church with her young family as well as regularly attended church in St. Charles in her final years, having Sunday communion the day before she passed.
Patti was preceded in death by her husband Thomas; granddaughter Ashley Rixleben of Oklahoma City and nephew Roy Rixleben Fisher of Eufaula, Okla.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey Hall Rixleben; daughter-in-law Laura Jean Graf; grandson “Trey” Rixleben; three granddaughters, Briana Roper, Lacey Boggs, and Jennifer Tiefenbrun; niece Elizabeth Ann Robbins of Eufaula,; three nephews, David W. Fisher, Chris W. Fisher, and Dr. Gary W. Fisher of Tulsa, Okla.,; sister-in-law Elizabeth R. Fisher,; four first cousins: Ruth Scott of Oklahoma City, Judge Ken Dickerson and Jerry Dickerson, both of Piedmont, and Paul Benton of Oklahoma City, and second cousins Marion A. Thomas, Jr. of Eastland, Texas and Kathy Reinke of Oklahoma City, Okla.

She attended schools in Topeka, Kan., and graduated from Topeka High School in 1953. She married Fred Schulz at Euclid Methodist Church in Topeka on October 14, 1956.
