Howard Randall Hamilton

EDMOND —     Howard Randall Hamilton was born November 15, 1954 in Arlington, Va., to Lt. Col Frank and Dorothy Hamilton. He passed away December 1, 2013.

    Howard lived at Ft. Amador in the Panama Canal Zone where his father was stationed until the age of six. After his father retired from the US Army, the family moved to Oklahoma City.  He attended Nichols Hills Elementary and graduated from John Marshall High School.

    Howard attended Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture Studies in 1977.  He interned with Architecture Unlimited in Coffeyville, Kan., Robert McHugh Architect in Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Jon Gunson Architect in Breckenridge, Colo. He became an NCARB member and received his architect licence in the State of Colorado in 1984. He practiced architecture for The Benham Group in Tulsa, Okla., SGPA in San Diego, Calif.,  LGS Architects in Irvine, Calif., Glover Smith Bode in Oklahoma City, Okla.,  and The State of Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

    In Oklahoma City, he met his future wife Susan Bolner at work. They were married on July 31, 2004.  They spent their time together remodeling their home, raising their children, vacationing in the United States, Europe and Mexico.

    Howard was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife Susan, two step children Caleb and Kateleigh Mills, his sister JoAnne Schneider and three nephews, John, Robert and Jason Schneider.

    A memorial service was 2 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Crawford Family Funeral Service Chapel, Edmond, Okla.Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at
