The Edmond Sun
John Eric Boland, 60, of Edmond, Okla., was born January 1, 1953 in Charleston, W.Va. to John O. and Paula Boland. He died in Oklahoma City, Okla. on April 18, 2013.
John was very much a “Renaissance Man”. He was talented at anything he tried, making him a natural “jack of all trades.” John served his country through his service in the United States Coast Guard until his retirement. He also served as a police officer in New York as well as a hypnotherapist and massage therapist. Most recently he was enjoying his work as a hospice nurse with Integris Hospice.
John was easy to befriend with his quick wit and joking personality. He always enjoyed being outdoors caring for his yard, spending time cooking, or catching up reading his favorite Sci-Fi.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy “K.P. Boland; children, Jason Boland and wife Melissa, Joel Eric Boland and wife Chrissy, Rebekkah Schink and husband Nathan, and Sarah Caswell; grandchildren, Christina, Phoenix, Jacob, Makayla, Charis, and Joel Michael. He will also be missed by his siblings, Brian Boland, Steve Boland, Tansea Boland, and Lyn Flippin. Not to forget his four-legged babies Tuppence and Wimsey.
