Jane Hudiburg Martin

EDMOND —     Jane Hudiburg Martin, 81, of Edmond, Okla., passed away August 2, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born Dec. 14, 1930 on a farm near Prague, Okla., to Hardin Earl Hudiburg and Mary Kimes Hudiburg, the youngest of nine children. She graduated Prague High School in 1948. Jane led a very active life. At one time she was a stewardess with Trans Texas Airlines on board the DC-3.

    She married James A. Martin in Harrisburg, Pa., on Aug. 17, 1953.

    She was a member of the Grand Prairie (Texas) Board of Realtors for more than 30 years, and served as president of the board. She began with Red Carpet, became a broker with The House Brokers, and finished out her career with Prudential Realtors. She was also awarded Woman of the Year. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to play card games, especially bridge and gin.

    Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, her brothers, Kimes Hudiburg, Jack Hudiburg, Joe Hudiburg and Paul Hudiburg, and sisters, Lavonne Meiers, Kathryn Branning, and Lou Lease.

    She is survived by her sister Paula Huber of Harlington, Texas;  her children, son Steve Martin of Phoenix, Ariz., son Scott Martin of Meridian, Texas, daughter Kim Klaus and husband Frank of Edmond, Okla., and grandchildren Ben Klaus, Michael Klaus and Kayley Klaus, all of Edmond.

    Services celebrating Jane’s life will be 11:30 a.m.  Friday, August 10, 2012 at Faith Bible Church, 600 N. Coltrane, Edmond, under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service of Edmond.

    The family suggests memorial donations be made in Jane’s name to the Epworth Villa Building Fund, 14901 N. Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City, OK 73134.
