Sharon Culp Cubberley

EDMOND — Sharon Culp Cubberly, 53, passed away June 5, 2013. Sharon was born February 17, 1959 in Brenham, Texas and spent her early years there.  When Sharon was between the ages of 6 and 17,  her family resided in Australia, Phillippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, before her graduation from high school.

She graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1980 and the OU School of Law in 1983.  She then married Thomas Cubberley in 1984.

Sharon gave birth to Alexander Thomas Cubberley in 1988 and Caroline Austin Cubberley in 1990.  She taught elementary school for many years in Texas, only recently returning to Edmond. Sharon is survived by her children, Alex and Caroline; parents, Burt and Kay Culp; sister Cathryn Schmid; niece Jennifer Belcher; great nephew Caden Belcher; former husband Thomas, and her beloved dog, Baker.

A memorial service will be10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the First Christian Church Chapel, 3700 N. Walker, Oklahoma City.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Sharon to the Lab Rescue OK, Inc. , 2608 W. Kenosha, #434, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.  Selected services were under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
