Joyce Marvine Noley

EDMOND — Joyce Marvine Noley, 78, of Wilburton, Okla., died June 5, 2013.  She was born September 6, 1934, one of seven children to Bertie and Ola Clay of Wilburton. She was a homemaker.

Joyce married James Marvin Noley on November 4, 1966, and together, they raised four children and went on many adventures together in their 46 years of marriage.

Joyce proudly earned her GED more than 30 years after leaving high school to marry her first husband. She attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she studied art, and was an avid reader.

Joyce was very active when raising her children. She could usually be found volunteering and often served as a classroom mother. She enjoyed sewing, and made many outfits for her family. Later in life, she enjoyed shopping in thrift shops, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and visiting friends and family.

Joyce was a great cook, and loved to sing, dance and laugh.  She enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas. She never met a stranger and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and funny bone.

Joyce`s greatest treasure was her family. She was fiercely devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and many more family and friends. Joyce and Marvin made it a priority to teach their children about God and His love for His children.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda McCaleb; parents; brothers Orville and Arnold Amerson, and Jake and Harold Clay.

Joyce is survived by her husband; children Marty White and wife Shawn, Roger White and wife Melissa, daughter Jayna Fields and husband Kenny; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Tinkey and brother Jimmy Clay.
