EDMOND —
Johnnie Bernice Almon, 73, passed away January 22, 2013. She was born in Henryetta, Okla. on October 19, 1939. Her loving way and her laughter will be greatly missed. She was a retired caregiver and a long-time member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years Dolphus Almon, her parents Perry Rose and Charlene Rose (Daughtery), sister Virgel Lee and son, Max Almon.
She is survived by her two sons William and Louie Almon and sister Patricia Sparks all of Edmond, Okla.; grandchildren: Rylie Smith, Daven and Corey Blackburn of Edmond, Amber Almon of Woodard, Okla., Clay and Clint Blackburn of Virginia; eight great grandchildren; aunt Maude; and cousin Carol Miller of Muskogee, Okla.
Viewing will be noon to 9 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Okla. Pastor Joe Rhodes will be officiating the service.
Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
